Danny Spungen arrives in Prague to meet an important survivor of Operation Bernard who has authored several books on the now famous project that inspired the 2007 foreign movie of the year: The Counterfeiters.

Danny Spungen arrives in Berlin to meet a notable survivor of Operation Bernhard and several people associated with preserving the history of the Holocaust.

New York, NY
January 6th & 7th
Danny Spungen will be in New York hosting two limited-capacity events for members of Holocaust-related organizations to promote a new Foundation project involving the translation of books by two survivors from English to Polish, sending the books to their former home towns, followed by the survivors flying to Poland to speak to the students that read the books.

Bad Ischl, Austria

Danny Spungen and a small group of students of the Holocaust era travelled to Bad Ischl Austria for an event honoring the last emperor of Austria (Franz Josef). The trip also included a tour of Lake Toplitz where many of the counterfeit Bank of England notes from Operation Bernhard were recovered in 1959. In addition to being guided by the diving team leader of the expedition, the group was also fortunate to meet with one of the 4 remaining Jewish survivors of Operation Bernhard. Operation Bernhard was the basis of the 2007 Oscar foreign movie of the year, The Counterfeiters.

Danny Spungen visited Belgium for a private tour of the Jewish Museum of Deportation and Resistance in Mechelen. In Antwerp Danny met with Ridder (Knight) Natan Ramet, President of the museum and the only remaining survivor that speaks both Flemish and French to audiences of all ages.
